Whole-home rental
A short-term rental where guests have exclusive use of an entire dwelling, with no host living on-site during the stay.
Whole-home (or 'entire place') rentals are the most heavily regulated category because they most resemble a hotel and remove housing from the long-term market. They are the usual target of primary-residence rules, night caps, and outright bans.
